Pasochoa is considered like an inactive Volcano in the east site of the Andes Mountains in Ecuador and just to one and half hour from the Capital Quito. It’s elevation 4199 m (13776ft) and from the summit, a great 360°view to the valleys of Amaguaña, Sangolqui, Aloag, Tambillo, Quito. Of course, in a sunny day, views of different volcanoes like Cotopaxi, Rumiñahui, Sincholahua, Corazon, Ilinizas, Cayambe, Pichinchas, Antizana. It’s caldera collapsed in the last eruption around 800 years ago and now it is about 2 km of diameter forming a large amphitheater. The base is around 15 km (7 miles) at 3000m (9842ft). The Pasochoa consists of layers of volcanic ash and cooled and solidified lava flows composed of andesite (volcanic igneous rock of intermediate composition).

Our private transportation and guide will pick you up and then we will drive to south of the city by the Simon Bolivar avenue. We will stop for a short time in the road to see the south of Quito and take a really amazing panoramic view of the city. In fact, We will continue to the Pasochoa area driving to Hacienda Mettler Los Tanques, where we parking the car and start our Private Pasochoa Hike Full Day Tour It takes 19km (9miles) back and forth 6 – 7 hours hike, getting to the summit at 4199m (13776ft). all the trail is enjoynable passing some forest and almost the last part to get to the Summit of Pasochoa, Some Lava Stone and Pajonales.
